FIRST TIME OF USE
• Please read through all the instructions before starting to use the
dehumidifier.
• Unpack the dehumidifier. Remove all the packaging materials and
dispose of them for recycling.
• Place the dehumidifier on a firm, even, waterproof surface. Water
can damage furniture and floor coverings and lead to fire or
electric shock. Make sure the dehumidifier is standing securely so
that it cannot tip over or fall down.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
POSITIONING THE DEHUMIDIFIER
• Moisture travels through the air much the same way scents
and smells do. Because moisture moves with air flow, position
the dehumidifier in a location that can draw the most air. The
effectiveness will be increased when placed in a location where it
is able to draw the most moisture from all directions and circulate
the air around the room.
• When placing the dehumidifier, ensure it is on a flat and level
surface. The dehumidifier may vibrate or operate less efficiently if
the surface is not level.
• The dehumidifier is fitted with castors for mobility purposes. If
you wish to move the dehumidifier, ensure it is first switched off
and the water tank is emptied.
• Do not use any extension cords, or adapters to connect this
appliance. Ensure to place the dehumidifier near to a fixed power
socket.
OPERATIONS
• Press the power button (a) to turn the unit on. The power
control (d) lights up. After 5 seconds, the relative humidity
actually present in the room appears on the display.
Note: If the indication [LO] appears, the detected ambient humidity is
below 35%. If the indication [HI] appears, detected ambient humidity
is over 90%.
CONTINUOUS RUN AND TIMER SETTING
• You can choose to run the unit for 2, 4 or 8 hours or continuously:
1. Continuous run is the default setting when unit is switched on.
If you need to reset continuous run function, press the timer
button (c) repeatedly until all 3 LED indicators , ,
(h) are off.
2. Timer setting: press the timer button (c) repeatedly to
select the desired number of hours. The unit will switch off
automatically once the selected amount of time has elapsed.
3. If you switch off the unit; this timer option will be cancelled.
HUMIDISTAT
• The unit will run automatically until the desired humidity is
reached. Once reached, the compressor will shut off automatically,
the fan will continue running.
• Choose the humidity % by pressing the key (b) until the
desired % (80; 70; 60; 50; 40 %) shows in the display. 5 seconds
later, display will indicate current ambient humidity.
Note: If the Continuous mode is selected (see timer setting section),
the unit will work independently of the ambient humidity.
AUTO DEFROST
When the Temperature is approaching 10 °C, the Auto Defrost
function will be activated automatically; the LED indicator (e)
will turn on in yellow. The unit will automatically operate the auto
defrost cycle: The compressor will stop for 8 minutes and then run for
24 minutes, repeatedly. The fan will run all the time to defrost.
DRAINAGE INSTRUCTIONS
(see page 5)
1. WATER TANK
• When not using the water hose, the water will drain into the
tank at the rear of the unit. As soon as the tank is full, the light
(f) will illuminate in red and the compressor will shut off
automatically, the unit will enter stand-by mode. The tank
should be emptied (fig. 2) and replaced (fig. 3) and then the
unit will restart automatically.
• If the control lamp (f) does not go off, pull the water tank
(6) out again (fig. 1).
• Check that the swimmer (8) is correctly installed. The swimmer
must not be removed, because otherwise the automatic
interruption of the dehumidifying operation is not guaranteed.
Overflowing water can damage objects and floor coverings or
cause an electric shock.
