SECURITY PRACTICES
Always lock the brakes when getting out of the wheelchair and when getting into the wheelchair. Make
regular checks that the brakes are in good working order. Check tyre pressures if air tyres are fitted.
- Never stop the wheelchair when moving by applying the brakes
- Never use the chair on an escalator
- Be aware of the body supports and make sure that no part of the body is uncomfortably trapped or pin-
ched by the supports.

ADJUSTMENT OF THE BRAKES
If the rear wheels are changed for any reason always check that
the brakes are working well and adjust if necessary.
To adjust the brakes loosen the nuts

REGULAR MAINTENANCE
Check the brakes and brake blocks at regular intervals
Every fitted bolt must be fitted tightly but not so tight that there could be damage to the tubes or any of the
locking and moving parts
Rear wheels and castors that are air filed must be checked regularly
Using the wheelchair with incorrect air pressure in the tyres could be dangerous

Cleaning your chair :
Clean all chrome with a wet cloth or a proprietary chrome cleaner
Clean the chair when it has been used outside and remove any debris, such as mud etc.,
The fabric on the chair should be cleaned with warm soapy water. Stubborn stains can be removed with a
non-abrasive stain remover, suitable for a vinyl surface.
