Test Procedure

WARNING

HIGH VOLTAGE CAPACITOR MUST BE

DISCHARGED BEFORE SERVICING. RE-

FER TO DETAILED PROCEDURE IN THE

COMPONENT TESTING SECTION BEFORE

TESTING.

NOTE: Dangerous voltages can be present at

this component. Refer to detailed test

procedure for testing this component.

Disconnect the wires to the diodes. Use an ohm-

meter to check diodes. Diodes should conduct

in one direction showing low resistance and not

conduct in the reverse direction, thus indicating

a very high resistance. High or low resistance in

both directions indicates a defective diode.

Replacement

DISCHARGED BEFORE SERVICING THE

TRANSFORMERS

After removing the side and top panels and

disconnecting the power cord, the diode leads

can be disconnected. There are two screws

securing each diode.
