The device I have comes with an embedded wireless LAN card – where is the antenna located and how do I
use it to obtain the most effective network access?
The custom antenna is enclosed in the plastic tongue snapped onto the device housing covering the PC card slot
along the top edge of the WebDT 375.
Refer to the section on “Operation Notes in the Operation Guide
. The
antenna should function adequately in the snapped-on configuration but you may use to extract the antenna holder
to try to obtain better range or signal strength.
Can the WebDT 375 support 802.11g and/or 802.11a wireless LAN adapters?
No. At this time, the combination of hardware and software characterizing the WebDT 375 is not capable of
supporting 802.11a or 802.11g network adapters. Your device provider may be able to advise you of alternative or
pending solutions that may offer such support.
Can the WebDT 375 work with wireless WAN network adapters?
Yes. The WebDT 375 may support wireless WAN (wide area network) adapters which connect to subscription-
based data networks (e.g., Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T Wireless). The drivers for these supported PC
Card slot-based cards are typically not be bundled with the WebDT 375, depending on software configuration. You
should contact your device provider if you need the support for these adapters.
CARE AND SUPPORT
How do I wipe fingerprints off the screen without damaging it?
In general, you may use cloth dampened with a small amount of cleaning solution. Ensure that the device is
powered off beforehand.
Is there any other way I can carry the device about, without the protective jacket?
Other than in its bare form, you can carry the WebDT 375 in an optional custom carrying pouch with cutouts for
display, buttons, LEDs, speakers and microphone.
