Do I need to load any software to get started?

The WebDT 375 comes pre-installed with all the software you will need to surf the Internet, set up email, run local
applications, and interact with servers and PCs.  The WebDT 375 does provide a means to install new software
that may enhance the function and value of the device.

Is there anything I should NOT do with the device while I am learning to use it?

The touch screen is made of glass, and is therefore fragile.  Treat it as you would a piece of glass.  Please use the
stylus provided with the WebDT 375 or another stylus designed for use with touch-panels.  Do not use a sharp
object to touch the screen, you may introduce scratches onto the screen.
Do not spill liquid onto the device, especially if the device is powered on.  In general, do not operate without reading
all cautions and directions in the users manual.

Is there anything I need to assemble before I turn it on?

The WebDT 375 panel comes fully assembled.  You will only need to charge the battery by connecting the A/C
adapter to the unit, and plugging it into a wall socket.  For an enhanced handling experience, the system may come
with accessories such as a protective jacket which you will have to slip over the WebDT 375 and shoulder strap to
attach to openings on the jacket.

How do I begin to use the WebDT 375 immediately?
Powering On:

Depending on how you received the device, your WebDT 375 device may be in a Suspend state or in a Power Off
state.  Connect the AC-DC adapter provided with the device directly to the power input jack of the WebDT 375 or to
power input jack on the cradle for the device with the WebDT 375 securely seated.  Use only the AC-DC adapter
provided with the device or purchased as a specific accessory, your device may not operate and may be damaged
if you use the incorrect AC-DC adapter.

With the AC-DC adapter connected:
- press firmly but briefly on the Suspend button on the left edge of the device.
Wait a few seconds, if the display does not light up, make sure that all power connections are in place and try
again.
Wait a few seconds, if the display still does not light up then try the following before contacting your device provider.
- If the optional external battery pack is attached to the device, detach it and repeat the step above, OR,
- If you have been using the Cradle, then connecting the power directly to the device instead, and repeat the option
above, OR,
- With the AC-DC adapter still connected, push on the Suspend button located along the left edge and hold on for
over 4 seconds.  Release the Suspend button.  Then push on the Suspend button briefly.

If all the steps above fail to turn on the device then you should contact your device provider for further guidance.

After the device turns on, you should charge the device battery with the AC-DC adapter.  You may continue to use
the device while the charging process is proceeding.

Configuration:

While it is charging, you can use and configure the WebDT 375 panel.  The charging cradle charges the battery
and provides power for normal operation.  When you first turn on the WebDT 375, you will see a boot screen that
will be shortly followed by a Microsoft Windows desktop.  This is the Microsoft Windows CE .NET desktop.  It is
very similar to the desktops found on Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, or XP.  There are icons on the desktop and the
familiar Start button brings up a menu of familiar options including Settings that leads you to the Control Panel
where you can change many configuration settings.  You should probably set up wireless networking first.  You will
