Verifying the System
After the DS1104 R&D Controller Board is installed (see
How to Install
the DS1104
on page 26), no further configuration is necessary.
Nevertheless you should check if your board is ready to run real-time
applications.
Running ControlDesk
The dSPACE real-time hardware is managed by the Platform Manager
integrated in ControlDesk. For information on how to access the

To view the current settings and properties of the boards in your

Updating the firmware
The DS1104 contains firmware installed in the flash memory of the
board. If you install a new dSPACE Release it may contain newer
firmware. In this case the firmware must be updated. Refer to
Updating the Firmware
on page 38.
