3. The router is unable to access the Internet
•
Check whether the router is able to obtain a WAN IP address from the ISP.
i.
Launch your browser and access the main menu of the router’s configuration
by typing
http://192.168.8.1
in the address bar and logging in as admin.
ii.
Select ADSL Status from the menu and check the errors, data rate and other
statistics.
iii.
Select Advanced Setting from the main menu, then WAN from the menu and
check the WAN Connection Type is PPPoA if using ADSL in New Zealand.
iv.
Manually enter your login Account and password details.
v.
Inform your ISP, check your login details and the status of the network status.
