Click the
LAN
link in the left hand side frame to view and change the LAN settings.
LAN IP Address:
The router’s IP address as seen on the internal LAN. The default value is
192.168.8.1
.
DHCP Server:
Select
Enable
to enable the router’s DHCP server function.
DNS Proxy:
Select
Enable
to enable the DNS Proxy.
IP Pool from 192.168.8.x to 192.168.8.y:
Whenever there is a request, the DHCP server will
offer unused IP addresses from the IP address pool to the requesting computer. Note that the
End Address
must be greater than the
Starting Address
. The default values are 17 and 128.
Lease time:
The assigned IP address will be valid during the lease time.
Assign fixed IP 192.168.8.x to MAC:
The DCHP server can assign a fixed IP Address to the
clients such as Web/E-mail server computers. Those computers will be identified by their MAC
address.
Offer cyclical gateway:
If you have more than one router on the same subnet, only one of the
routers can be assigned as a DHCP server. The other routers should be set as LAN clients and
their DHCP server function should be disabled. This is a very simple mechanism for
Internet/WAN traffic distribution among those routers within a network.
DHCP Client List:
Click on this button to display the list of the clients connected to the router.
