7.7 MAC Filter
The
MAC Filter
function allows the filtering of a specific Ethernet adaptor’s MAC address so as
to prevent that computer from accessing the Internet. Select
Enable
or
Disable.
There are two ways of doing this but only one can be chosen at a time.
•
Allow all clients to access the Internet except those with the MAC address as listed.
•
Allow only those clients with the MAC Address as listed to access the Internet.
To check your Ethernet adaptor’s MAC address, run
winipcfg
in Windows 98 or
ipconfig /all
from the command line.
To set a MAC filter, you can enter the MAC address and click the
Add to list
button.
Alternatively, you can click the
Refresh List
button to list all the detected MAC addresses,
select the desired MAC addresses and click
Add selected to list.
Save & Restart:
Click on this button to save the settings.
