8 Camera Commands
ATOM one 4K mini supports different camera models. Some of the following function may
not be available depending of the given camera module.
8.1 cam_gain <gain>
Sets analog gain for the sensor.

Mini 7: 106666
Mini 11: 142222
Mini 16: 111304
Mini 7:
Minimum: 1000 = 1x = 0dB =
30 ISO
Maximum: 106666 = 107x = 40.6bB =
3200 ISO
Mini 11:
Minimum: 1000 = 1x = 0dB =
45 ISO
Maximum: 142222 =142x = 43bB =
6400 ISO
Mini 16:
Minimum: 1000 = 1x = 0dB =
115 ISO
Maximum: 111304 = 111x = 40.9bB =
12800 ISO
To calculate the ISO value from the analog gain you have to divide it by 1000 and then
multiply it with the ISO at gain 1. To read out the ISO at gain 1 you can use the cam_info
command (see below). For the ATOM one 4K mini it will report the following values: 30
(Mini 7), 45 (Mini 11), 115 (Mini 16).
Examples for Mini 11:
Gain
1000
→ ISO = 1000 / 1000 * 45 =
45
Gain
71111
→ ISO = 71111 / 1000 * 45 =
3200
Gain
142222
→ ISO = 142222 / 1000 * 45 =
6400
You can read out the gain at any time, also when the auto exposure control is enabled.
8.2 cam_exposure <time>
Sets the exposure time/shutter width in
microseconds
. If you change the video mode and
the current shutter time is bigger than the maximum possible shutter time for the new
video mode, the shutter time will be clipped accordingly.
You can read out the exposure at any time, also when the auto exposure control is
enabled.
