Section 1 Important Safety Information
READ CAREFULLY:
You must read the safety information that follows before you do the
installation procedures.
IMPORTANT:
ONLY APPROVED, TRAINED TECHNICIANS ARE PERMITTED TO
INSTALL OR DO SERVICING ON THE EQUIPMENT AND COMPONENTS SHOWN IN THE
PROCEDURES IN THIS MANUAL.
For your protection, obey all safety panels, warnings and instructions where they occur.
Read the safety and compliance information completely in the sections that follow before you start the
installation.
DANGER: Do not use electric or battery operated power tools!
To avoid
the possibility of explosion or fire, when you install these components near the
Hazardous Area, use pneumatic tools only. Be sure your system is completely
de-energized before you do the installation.
DANGER:
Make sure that the pole used to install the antenna is not
grounded to the terminal or other system components.
Make sure the antenna is isolated from the pole. Use a non-conductive
material between the antenna bracket and the metal pole.
1.1 Hazardous Areas
A fuel dispenser is a hazardous area as specified in the National Electrical Code. Installation must with the
codes that follow:
