IMPORTANT:
Do not use extenders on the cable. The 12 foot length must be maintained for
best operation.
For best coverage, make sure the antenna is installed in a location with a clear line of sight to RFNs and is
within the 130 foot maximum range.
3.4 Remote Installation
The Panel Antenna can be installed with a Remote VIS assembly in outdoor or indoor locations. Refer to
M00-20-8225-AVI Remote VIS Installation
for instructions on the installation and operation of the Remote
VIS enclosure.
3.4.1 Panel Antenna Installation Scenario - Remote VIS
Install the Panel Antenna on a wall with fasteners applicable for the material where the antenna will be
installed.

For maximum antenna range, install the antenna at approximately a 45 degree angle and a minimum of 12
feet from ground level. The remote VIS enclosure should be installed at eye level.
A sealed conduit for the antenna cable is reccomended to protect the cable.
