Part 3. Working with the cash register
3.1 Main screen
After finishing the activation, you are taken to the Dotypos main
screen. This is the starting point of all operations with cash registers.
To enter the Dotypos settings or sales overviews, use the side menu
(1) , which is displayed by tapping on the icon (2) . You will also find the
option Item management, which is used to create sale products and
their categories (see chapter 3.3 Creating categories and products ).
The tile menu

contains the buttons for basic cash register op-
erations. This menu can be displayed by clicking on the icon (4) .
In the lower part (5) you will find buttons to display open orders,
customer accounts or table maps (if enabled in the application set-
tings). Once you charge any items, the sum for the currently open
order will be displayed as well as the arrow for displaying all order
items and settling.
The panel (6) offers created product categories. Clicking on the se-
lected category displays the products belonging to this category
in section (7) .
Clicking on the product records it. Settle the order by tapping on the
arrow in the bottom right corner in the part
(5)
.
By tapping on the icon (8) the current user is logged out and you can
log into the cash register with a new account (see chapter 3.2.3 User
management
).
If you want to register individual products, additional operations have
to be performed. We will go through them later (see chapter 3.5 Start
charging ). Here we are only describing control principles, so that you
know where to click.
