2.4 Activation
After running the Dotypos application for the first time, you will be
asked to select the country, enter the license code and accept the
business conditions.
According to the selected country, appropriate cash register options
will be set, e.g. VAT rates. So always set the country, in which the cash
register will be used. Please find the license code on the delivery note
or certificate included in the package.
Once you insert the license code (use capital letters without spaces)
and accept the business conditions, add your contact information for
the license registration. Remember to correctly set whether you are
a VAT payer or not. This option has an impact on how product prices
are calculated in the cash register.
The entered email address and password will be used for your login
to the Dotypos Cloud web interface (see part 4. Dotypos Cloud ).
If the entered email address corresponds to an already created ac-
count in Dotypos Cloud, you will be automatically asked to log into
this account, see the next chapter.
In the third step you choose the business category that best suits
your establishment. This option will affect some Dotypos application
settings; however, you can change them later in the application set-
tings. The applied settings according to the selected establishment
type can be displayed and adjusted by clicking on the green link be-
low the selected establishment type, which shows the applied op-
tions, e.g. active table map, PLU keyboard, etc.
