3.4.1 First inventory
Run the application Dotypos Stock and click on the icon
Stocktaking
. Use the
button
START INVENTORY
to open the dialog with an overview of all produ-
cts. For each product, enter the number of pieces and then complete the inven-
tory by clicking on the button FINISH INVENTORY . The inventory can be limited
to the selected tags or categories.
Once inventory has been performed, you can start charging. Whenever any pro-
duct is charged, the required quantity is automatically deducted from the ware-
house. The quantity of the charged product can be also entered just by clicking
repeatedly on its card on the Dotypos main screen. Eventually also after adding an
item to the order using buttons +/- at the specific item.
If you hold your finger on the product tile on the main screen, you see the
actual quantity in stock of the given product.
The cash register system works on shifts. A shift is the time from when the cash
register is opened until it is closed. Before you can start charging, the cash register
has to be opened and the appropriate initial cash entered. Open or close the cash
register by simply clicking on REGISTER OPEN or REGISTER CLOSURE in the tile
menu on the main screen. For cash in and cash out during the shift use the button
IN/OUT CASH and record it.
