Using the device

Do not reverse the polarity. Reversing the polarity of the connections will cause a
great spark and the internal fuses will melt.
1. Connect the positive cable from the battery charger to the positive terminal of
the battery.
2. Connect the negative cable from the battery charger to the chassis of a vehicle.
Keep the negative cable away from battery and fuel line.
3. Connect the battery charger to supply mains.
An example of a connection diagram is shown in fig.
Disconnecting the battery
1. Disconnect the battery charger from supply mains.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the chassis of the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the positive cable from the positive terminal of the battery.

Using the device
1. Switch off all electric consumers which are connected to the battery.
2. Connect the battery charger to the mains.

Depending on the charging condition of the battery, the battery charger starts
charging or supplies a retention voltage.
