Introduction
General notes
b
Do not wet the equipment.
The FOMA terminal, battery pack,
adapter, and UIM are not waterproof.
Do not use them in places with high
humidity such as a bathroom or
where rain may get them wet. If you
are carrying them against your body,
moisture from sweat may corrode the
internal parts, causing malfunction.
Note that malfunction deemed to be
caused due to exposure to liquids
is not covered by the warranty, and
repair may be impossible. This may
be repaired at your expense even if
repairs are possible.
b
Use a dry soft cloth (lens cleaning
cloth) to clean the equipment.
•
In some models, the display of
the FOMA terminal has a special
coating in order to make the color
display clear. If you rub the display
strongly with a dry cloth, it may be
scratched. Take care of handling
the FOMA terminal and use a dry
soft cloth (lens cleaning cloth) to
clean the equipment. If the display
is left with water drop or stain
adhered, smear may be generated
or the coating may peel off.
•
Do not use alcohol, thinner,
benzene, detergent or other
solvents for cleaning, otherwise
the printed images or text may
disappear or discoloration may
result.
b
Occasionally clean the terminals
with a dry cotton swab.
If the terminals become dirty, the
contact may become loose and the
FOMA terminal power may be turned
off, or the terminal may not be fully
charged.
Be careful not to damage the
terminals when you clean them.
b
Do not place the equipment near
air conditioner outlets.
Condensation may form due to
rapid changes in temperature, and
this may corrode internal parts and
cause malfunction.
b
Do not place excessive force on the
FOMA terminal or the battery pack.
If the FOMA terminal is put under
heavy objects in a bag, or if it is
sat upon while in your pocket, the
display, internal circuit board, or
battery pack may be damaged
or malfunction.
While external
devices are inserted to the external
connector terminals, the connector
may be damaged or malfunction.
b
Carefully read each manual
attached to the FOMA terminal,
adapter, and desktop holder.
b
Do not rub or scratch the display
with a metal object.
Doing so may cause damage or
malfunction.
Notes on the FOMA terminal
b
Avoid using in extremely high or
low temperatures.
Use the FOMA terminal within a
temperature range of 5
℃
to 35
℃
and a humidity range of 45% to 85%.
b
The FOMA terminal may affect
general phones, televisions, or
radios, etc. in use nearby. Use the
FOMA terminal as far away from
such equipment as possible.
b
Keep a separate record of any
information stored on the FOMA
terminal and store the copies in a
safe location.
DOCOMO assumes no responsibility
for the loss of any of your data.
b
Do not drop the FOMA terminal or
subject it to shocks.
Damage or malfunction may result.
