Holding the terminal over a reader
You can hold the
e
up to a reader to
enable an electronic transaction.
The notification LED lights (blue) when you
are using Osaifu-Keitai.
Hold the
e
mark
over the reader
Note the following when holding the terminal
up to a reader.
Do not strike the terminal against the reader

Hold the

mark evenly with the reader
Hold the

e
mark at the middle of the reader
as much as possible
If unreadable by the reader, move the
•
e
mark above/below, to the left/right of the
reader
Do not attach anything metal on the side of
•
the terminal with the
e
mark
Locking Osaifu-Keitai
Lock Osaifu-Keitai to prevent it from being
used by another person without permission.
The Osaifu-Keitai function is not unlocked
even if you turn off the power of the terminal.
This function is enabled when "Set up
(Change) unlock security" is any setting other
than "None".
To set this function/unlock, you must enter
the unlock security code you set with "Set up
(Change) unlock security".

Select any item:
OFF······
Unlock Osaifu-Keitai.
ON······
Set the operation of "Osaifu-Keitai
Lock Setting".
Work with screen lock······
Set to lock
together with the screen lock. Unlocking
the screen also unlocks Osaifu-Keitai.
Turning ON always ······
The lock
always activates. To cancel locking, set
"Osaifu-Keitai Lock Setting" to "OFF".
