Test tone
Using the test tone, you can determine the volume proportion of the single speakers to each
other in Dolby Digital or Dolby Pro Logic II operation. Once the found balance is set, you
don’t have to change it again unless you change the position of the speaker boxes.
1. Set the normal overall volume.
2. Press the
TEST TONE
key repeatedly. Now, each speaker reproduces the test tone
alone, one after another, and you can control its volume using the VOL +/- keys. The
speaker that is currently active is shown in the display. It is the goal to set a volume in all
speaker channels that you consider as being almost equal.
Tip:
You have to call every speaker; only then are the settings saved.
Adjusting channels during operation
If you prefer adjusting the volume proportion of the single speakers using the audio signals
during operation, press the CH SELECT key.
“L 0 DB”
appears in the display. You can now
increase or decrease the volume of the left front speaker by +/- 10 dB using the VOL +/-
keys. Press the CH SELECT key again to set all remaining speakers accordingly.
LFE Trim
If you reproduce a Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1 signal via one of the digital inputs,
“LFE” appears in the display. Press now the LFE TRIM key on the remote
control. Using the VOL +/- keys, you can now decrease the volume of the
low-frequency effect channel by up to –10dB. (If you don’t press any key for
5 seconds, the device exits the LFE TRIM setting.).
