Connecting speakers
Important information
Ø
All shown or mentioned connection cables or not included in the delivery, they are
available in specialised trade.
Ø
Please switch off all involved devices before establishing the connections.
Ø
In order to prevent the development of humming and ambient noises, never pass the
connection cables together with speaker or power cords.
Ø
BEFORE connecting the speakers, check their impedance. Connect only speakers having
an impedance of 4 - 8 ohm or more.
Ø
On the red cable terminal, the positive speaker signal is present, on the black terminal,
the negative signal is present. When connecting the boxes you have to make sure that
you always connect the positive speaker signal with the positive (+) input and the
negative signal with the negative (-) input of the box.
Ø
We have installed 2 outputs for the subwoofer signal in your receiver: one speaker
output for connection a
passive
subwoofer and one line output for controlling an
active
subwoofer. An active subwoofer has its own, installed amplifier, a passive one not. If you
already have a subwoofer but if you are not quite sure whether it is active or passive,
simply check if it has a power cord or a mains connection. If yes, it is active, if not, it is
passive. We only wanted to offer you both connection alternatives. It is not necessary to
simultaneously connect an active
and
a passive subwoofer.
