For connecting the cables, remove ca. 10mm of the insulation
and twist the strands. Unscrew the desired connection terminal.
On the top and on the bottom you can now see openings in
which you can insert the denuded ends of the cable. Now
tighten the clamp again. Pay attention that blank ends of
already connected speaker cables never get in touch with each
other during operation. Otherwise, the device is damaged by
this short circuit.
Connecting audio und video devices
Video connection
In this section, you will learn how to connect DVD-players, tape decks or similar devices.
When establishing these connections, the device must also necessarily be switched off, as
otherwise voltage peaks may damage your speakers.
For the connection of DVD-players, satellite receivers and TVs, both S-Video and Video
inputs and outputs are available. If
both
connection possibilities are available, we
recommend you to use the S-Video connection as it provides higher picture quality. If you
connect, however, more video devices, it simplifies later operation if you connect all video
devices with the same kind of connection to the inputs of the AV-receiver. Otherwise, you
have to connect the TV via a video
and
S-Video cable. You also had to switch the input at the
TV if you switch to another video device at the receiver.
