Move the MEWP for transport
Section 6 – Procedures
6.3-1 Hoist or Lift the MEWP
WARNING
Only qualified riggers must operate the machinery
during a lift.
When you hoist or lift the MEWP, you must:
▪
Turn the platform/off/base key switch to the off
position and remove the key.
▪
Close and tightly latch the
system components
tray.
▪
Retract the extension platform and lock it into
place.
▪
Remove the platform control console.
▪
Remove all personnel, tools, and materials from
the platform.
▪
Fold the platform guardrails (for hoist only).
Refer to
Section 6.7.
▪
Attach the rigging to all
four lift points

hoist. Lift with the forks in the designated
forklift
pockets
