3.5-6 Pothole protection

Pothole protection
: This device consists of a
set of mechanically actuated steel weldments
located under the base. These weldments
will automatically deploy for reduced ground
clearance when elevating the MEWP.
The drive and lift functions are disabled when the
pothole protection device does not fully deploy
while the MEWP is in the elevated travel position.
WARNING
Crush hazard. Personnel on the ground must stay
away from the pothole protection device. If you do
not obey, there is a risk of death or serious injury.
