Securing the Harness Straps, Buckle,    
and Harness Pads 

 

  WARNING:

•     All harness slot positions can be used rear-facing, 

however, only

 u

se the top three shoulder harness 

positions for forward-facing.

Adjust to correct harness height before installing the car seat:

    Rear-facing

: Straps should be 

in nearest slot at or below the 

level of child’s shoulders.

            Maximum Height:

 Rear-facing 

child is too tall for car seat if top 

of head is less than 1½ inches 

from top of car seat or if child is 

more than 44 inches tall (112 cm). 

    Forward-facing

Straps should be in 

slot above the level of 

child’s shoulders. 

         

   

Maximum Height:

 

Forward-facing child is too tall 

for car seat if tops of the ears are 

above the back of the car seat or 

if child is more than 57 inches tall 

(144 cm).
