HOLD- AND LOAD REGULATING VALVES
Functional check
1. Checking the outrigger cylinder holding valves with respect to leaks is made by
lifting the unit up with the outriggers and measuring, separately at each outrigger
(fig. 1), chassis height from the ground. After a few minutes, measure the height
again. If the chassis has lowered itself the valves are leaking.
2. Check the tightness of the boom and the link boom holding valve. Drive the boom into a position
where it can be easily measured.
After a few minutes, measure again to see if the boom has moved (fig 2).
3. Check the tightness of the telescope cylinder load regulating valve. Extend the telescope and
measure the stroke.
Wait for a few minutes, and check if the telescope has retracted
Note
: The boom should be almost vertical (fig 2).
4. Check the tightness of the platform stabilizing system. Load about 100 - 200 kg (200-400 lbs)
onto the platform and measure the height between platform rear edge and the ground.
After a few minutes, check that the height remains unchanged.
Service instructions (fig 3).
1. Dismantle the valve and clean it.
2. Check condition of O-rings and replace if necessary.
3. Reassemble the valves carefully
4. If necessary, completely renew the valve.
