2. To select a loco on a Jump port or to change the loco that is already there
follow the same procedure you’d use to select a loco on the local throttle.
Press
, the address will begin flashing to let you know that the loco
selection is pending. The display will now show the last loco that was
selected on this throttle.
3. Use the numeric keypad to enter the loco address you want to run and press
again to select it on the selected jump port. The display will be steady
and you will be able to control the speed and direction of the loco you
selected using the DC power pack attached to
the jump port.
4. When you have
Jmp1 or Jmp2
on the DCS52’s
Loco Info Area
of the
display, you can use the numeric keys to make changes to the function con-
trols on the selected loco (turn on/off lights etc.). The smooth DC power
pack being used as the for the
Jmp1 or Jmp2
throttle will continue to con-
trol speed and direction of the loco address selected. The DCS52’s
Throttle
Knob
and
Direction Control Lever
will continue to control the speed
and direction of the loco selected on the
Local Throttle.

Jump
Throttle Area
.
Your DCS52 can handle up to 20 LocoNet Throttles. If you need to run more
than 20 throttles, you can move up to a Digitrax Command Station with addi-
tional capacity. You can continue to use your DCS52 as a throttle with a com-
mand station on your Digitrax LocoNet system.
9.0 Option setup:
To enter the Utility Menu, from the home screen press the key. Main Menu
A will display giving you a list of menu options.
9.1 Customizing DCS52-Option Switch Setup:
The Option Switch (OpSw) setup allows you to customize the operation of the
DCS52. The DCS52’s power up defaults are fine for most applications and
the DCS52 will run “out of the box.” We have
included a few option switches below that you
