Basic troubleshooting procedures
When a faulty image or malfunction occurs in the printer, after
conducting the initial checks, search for and eradicate the cause of
the problem according to the following described procedures.
•
If a faulty image occurs, see “Image Defects” on page 6-22.
•
When a malfunction occurs, see “Troubleshooting
malfunctions” on page 6-38.
Note:
When attempting to diagnose a problem, it may be helpful to
remove the top cover of the Colorwriter to observe the developing
and printing process. To interrupt the developing or printing
process, open one of the printer doors.
