Setting a General Setpoint
User Specifications 01 and 02 set the parameters of the DC-530’s use of any setpoints that are programmed.
User Specification 01, Bits 3 and 2 - Set Point Operation, establish whether setpoints will be associated with
individual Item Codes or be general or common setpoints applied to all items. The specification can also be set
to not allow any setpoints to be programmed.
•
If Specification 01, Bits 3 and 2 are set to 10: Item Set Point, the setpoints must be programmed in
the Item Registration or Item Edit procedures (See Section 6.1 or Section 6.2). In this case Option 4
on the Mode Menu - Set Point Setting is disabled.
•
If Specification 01, Bits 3 and 2 are set to 01: Common Set Point, the setpoints must be programmed
in the Set Point Setting screen as described below and the cursor will not move to the Setpoint fields
in the Item Registration and Edit Item modes.
•
If Specification 01, Bits 3 and 2 are set to 00: No Operation, Option 4 on the Mode Menu - Set Point
Setting, is disabled and the cursor will not move to the Setpoint fields in the Item Registration and
Edit Item modes.
User Specification 02 sets the rest of the parameters of the DC-530’s use of the setpoints programmed:
•
Specification 02, Bit 0 - Setpoint Range, sets whether the range is negative or positive. The default
is 1: Positive. If set to 0: Negative, the buzzer only sounds on negative numbers.
•
Specification 02, Bit 1 - Setpoint Buzzer Output, sets whether the scale sounds an audible buzzer
when a setpoint is reached. The default is 1: Yes.
