TEMPERATURE SCALE
Selecting Temperature Scale from the Setup menu, you can change the temperature scale choosing
degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
PARAMETERS
Selecting Parameters from the Setup menu, you can change some parameters.
Enable/disable temperature correction
If the Temperature parameter is set to OFF, the instrument
determines the erythrocyte sedimentation value (ESR) and
shows the results at ambient temperature.
However, it can be programmed to show the results at a
temperature of 18°C by setting the parameter to
ON
.
It is advisable to use this function, especially in laboratories
where the temperature is much higher than 18°C.
The transformation is done according to Manley.

Use the arrow keys to select Temperature, change the setting and then press OK.
Enable/disable the printer and display settings
If the Display parameter is set to OFF, the results are not shown
on the display.
The Printer parameter allows disabling the printer if you only
want to view the results on the display or send them to a host
because of a temporary lack of paper in the printer or its
malfunctioning.
The Reverse Printing parameter allows setting the printing
direction of the final analysis report.

OPERATING MODE
Changing the operating mode, changes the way the instrument is loaded.
If the operating mode is set to
ON
, you will be asked to enter the barcode for each sample and then to
insert it in the instrument.
If the operating mode is set to
OFF
, you will be asked to simply insert the samples in the instrument
and press OK. This is certainly the fastest way to load the samples, but they are only traceable through
the plate position number.
For this reason, it is advisable to make the setting depending on the samples used:
ON - for samples with barcode
OFF - for samples without barcode
QUALITY CONTROL
VES-MATIC CUBE 30 allows you to use the control blood ESR
Control Cube
(code. 10435 4x9 ml)
or
the control ESR Control Cube (
code 10436 2x9 ml
) which is a test to monitor the erythrocyte
sedimentation rate values (ESR).
Refer to the information leaflet for the procedures and methods of use.
