INSTALLATION
The installation must be performed by an authorised DIESSE Diagnostica Senese S.p.A. technician as
confirmed by the Installation Report.
a. Place the instrument on a solid surface as described in the previous paragraph.
b. Open the door of the printer compartment and remove the elastic band holding the roll of thermal
paper in place (used to prevent it from coming out of its housing during transport).
c. Open the lid of the sample-holder compartment and remove the adhesive tape used to keep the
plate still during transport.
d. After following the instructions described in paragraph 2.2., connect the instrument to the power
supply:
Make sure that the power supply switch is in the OFF position « 0 » before proceeding. Connect the
power supply plug (use exclusively the power supply cable supplied with the instrument) to the
socket located to the right of the switch of the instrument (as indicated in Fig. 2.5.1). Connect the
plug of the power supply cable to the power point.

IN CASE OF FIRE OR HAZARDS IN GENERAL, TURN OFF THE INSTRUMENT AND
DISCONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY CABLE

DISCONNECT
the instrument from the power supply system before performing any type
of technical operation or in the case of malfunctioning of the instrument.
It is only possible to enter the commands with a
light pressure
of the fingers.
It is prohibited to carry out OPERATIONS
on the instrument while there are parts still
in movement (it is only possible to enter the commands on the keyboard).
It is prohibited to PLACE
your fingers or other objects between the plate and the safety
guard of the instrument.
It is strictly prohibited to manually TRANSLATE
the plate (from the sample-
introducing position to the mixing position and vice-versa).
Treatment of potentially infected material.
All precautions pertaining biological risks must be adopted when using the VES-MATIC
CUBE 30
The expendable material must be disposed of in compliance with the laboratory regulations
and the local laws.
Observe all the individual and collective safety laws envisaged for the operator in line with the
working environments. Observe the DIRECTIVES relating to safety and the laws in force.
