RS232C Interface Cables
There are generally two different interface cables that are used with the
Pachette 2
.
The first cable is needed when connecting the
Pachette 2
to the SII DPU-414 printer.
This cable can be purchased from DGH Technology, Inc. when the SII DPU-414
printer is ordered. The second cable is used when connecting the
Pachette 2
to a
personal computer. It is usually the operator’s responsibility to obtain this cable from a
computer outlet store. For reference, the wiring diagrams for both of these cables are
given in Figure XII-A and Figure XII-B.
Note:
If a printer other than the SII DPU-414 is used with the
Pachette 2
,
or if the
Pachette 2
is interfaced to a personal computer that uses a non-standard RS232C port,
then a different interface cable may be required in each case.
