COM3/COM4 RS232/422/485 Select
These jumpers allow you to configure the serial COM ports to RS232, RS422 (full duplex) or
RS485. JP8, JP9 and JP15 are used to configure serial COM port 3. JP4, JP10 and JP16 are
used to configure serial COM port 4.
The pin functions of COM port 3 and COM port 4 will vary according to these jumpers’ set-
tings. You can also configure the RS485 auto flow mechanism through the BIOS setup utility.

Note:
When COM3 RS232/422/485 is selected, JP8 and JP15 must be set in accordance to
JP9. And when COM4 RS232/422/485 is selected, JP10 and JP16 must be set in ac-
cordance to JP4.
