In order to set exposure range as shown in Figure 7.11, locate exposure base line in
center of radiography target area, and adjust exposure area by changing distance
based on radiography target size.
If aiming is complete, based on exposure area display, start exposure by pressing EX
button once again. Users should keep pressing exposure button until exposure is
complete, and if the button is released in the middle of exposure operation, the
exposure will be stopped immediately. The exposure starts with beeping sound and
the EX button on top part of main body is turns yellow.
While operating for exposure, user simply presses exposure button. The process
should go through three phases. Each status can be distinctive by beeping sound.

Phase 1: Exposure start notice - The beeping sound indicates that exposure
operation starts

Phase 2: Heating time notice - Heating time is changed based on level of X-RAY
exposure intensity, dose, and battery. The time can be changed from minimum
120ms to maximum 2000ms. Heating time is notified by signal sound of 0.5
seconds interval.

Phase 3: Under exposure notice - By continuous signal sound, exposure progress
WARNING
The SSD cage is designed to maintain a minimum source to skin distance per
FDA requirements. Do NOT remove the SSD cage from the iRayA6s in order to
bring the X-ray source closer to the patient. Do NOT make any other
modifications to the device. Do NOT place extremities (example: hands, feet,
fingers, toes) inside cage area in order to bring the X-ray source closer to the
patient, this only increases radiation exposure.
