Placing a book on the original glass
When copying two facing pages of a bound document, such as a book or
magazine, position it as described below.

Reminder
Do not place objects weighing more than 3 kg on the original glass. In
addition, do not press down extremely hard on the document, otherwise
the machine may be damaged.

Lift open the document feeder.

Place the book on the original glass.
– To copy facing pages together,
align the corner of the book with
the
mark in the back-left
corner of the document scales.
– To copy facing pages separately,
position the book face down onto
the original glass, with the top of
the book toward the rear of the
machine and with the center of
the book aligned with the
—
mark in the document scale.

Carefully close the document feeder.
