Multi-Company Variant
Multi-Company Variant
Communications systems are fre-
quently shared by several compa-
nies. These companies want to
jointly use the existing infrastructure
(e.g. the existing lines and features
of the system), while at the same
time they wish to organise and pay
for their communication completely
independently of one another.
This “multi-company variant” can be
implemented using the
OpenCom 510 within a shared office,
for example.
In the multi-company variant, the
companies are essentially com-
pletely independent of one another.
This allows them to have their own
trunk lines, which is useful for billing
purposes. The OpenCom 510 hard-
ware and software are used equally
by all the companies, however. It is
possible to configure the
OpenCom 510 for each company and
define the extent to which the fea-
tures of the system may be used.
In brief, the features of the multi-
company variant are as follows:
■
Up to five companies can be
configured at the same time.
■
Every user of the OpenCom 510
is assigned to a company.
■
Each available trunk group is
uniquely assigned to a company
so that incoming external calls
can be transferred to the correct
internal subscriber.
■
For each company, every route
can have its own code. For ex-
ample, it is possible to activate
different routes with the code
“0” for different companies. This
enables separate charging for
outgoing external calls, for ex-
ample.
■
An individual exchange (“opera-
tor”) can be set up for each com-
pany.
■
Each company can maintain the
communication data of its busi-
ness partners in its own com-
pany telephone book.
■
The charges can be billed indi-
vidually for each company.
