WEIGHING UNITS SELECTION
NOTE! The following instructions apply to all models of the apex® Portable
Scale with Remote Indicator.
When the scale is powered on for the
first
time, it will display a prompt to select the weighing
units to use, pounds (lb) or kilograms (kg). The weighing units selection can
ONLY
be made at
this and cannot be changed afterward. Make sure you select the correct weighing units before
proceeding.
1. Press key to turn scale on.
2. A display test will be performed (all digits on the weight display will turn on), then change
to show the software version for a few seconds, and finally the display will change to
show

with the lb annunciator (factory units setting) flashing.
3. If the lb (pounds) units setting is acceptable, press the
key to save it, and then
proceed to step 5.
4. Otherwise, press the

or
Ø
keys to toggle the weighing units from lb (pounds) to kg
(kilograms), and
then press the
key to save it.
5. The display will change to show

, with the

0
Å
(ZERO), the
[\
(STABLE) and the
kg annunciator will be turned on.
6. The scale is now ready for operation.
IMPORTANT! Make sure you select the correct weighing units.
Once the weighing units has been set, it cannot be changed.
