Ensure that each processor and heat sink is properly installed.

Install the system-board assembly.
5.
Reconnect the system to the electrical outlet, and turn on the system and attached peripheral
devices.
6.
If the problem persists, turn off the system and attached peripheral devices, and disconnect the
system from the electrical outlet.
7.
Remove the system-board assembly.
8.
Remove processor 2.
9.
Install the system-board assembly.
10.
Reconnect the system to the electrical outlet, and turn on the system and attached peripheral
devices.
If the problem persists, the processor is faulty. See

Turn off the system and attached peripheral devices, and disconnect the system from the electrical
outlet.
12.
Remove the system-board assembly.
13.
Replace processor 1 with processor 2.
14.
Repeat step 9 through step 11.

IRQ assignment conflicts
Most PCI devices can share an IRQ with another device, but they cannot use an IRQ simultaneously. To
