Steps
1. Lift the latch and disconnect the keyboard cable and keyboard backlit cable.
2. Lift the mylar tape covering the screws.
3. Remove the sixteen (M2x2) screws that secure the keyboard assembly to the palm-rest.
4. Carefully lift the keyboard assembly from the palm-rest.
5. Flip the keyboard assembly.
6. Remove the three (M2x2) screws that secure the keyboard to the keyboard bracket.
7. Remove the keyboard from the keyboard bracket.
Installing the keyboard
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
NOTE:
The system board can be installed with the heat sink attached in order to simplify the procedure and preserve the
thermal bond between the system board and heat sink.
