Removing the Speakers
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before You Begin
.
2.
Remove the battery (see
Removing the Battery
).
3.
Remove the keyboard (see
Removing the Keyboard
).
4.
Remove the hard-drive assembly (see
Removing the Hard-Drive Assembly
).
5.
Remove the palm rest assembly (see
Removing the Palm Rest Assembly
).
6.
Disconnect the speaker cable from the connector on the system board.
7.
Remove the four (two on each side) screws that secure the speakers to the computer base.
8.
Note the routing of the speaker cable and remove the speakers and cable from the computer base.
Replacing the Speakers
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before You Begin
.
2.
Place the speakers on the computer base and route the speaker cables in the routing guides.
3.
Replace the four (two on each side)screws that secure the speakers to the computer base
4.
Connect the speaker cable to the connector on the system board.
5.
Replace the palm rest assembly (see
Replacing the Palm Rest Assembly
).
6.
Replace the hard-drive assembly (see
Replacing the Hard-Drive Assembly
).

To help prevent damage to the system board, remove the main battery (see

) before working inside the
computer.
