9. Notes on PA BXT, PA DRL test adapters
The test adapters have left the factory in faultless condition. In order to maintain this condition and
to ensure safe operation, the user has to observe all notes and warnings, which are on the adapter
and which are stated in the operating instructions for the PM 20 SPD tester.
Note
The devices are subject to the EC directive 2002/96/EC concerning waste electrical
and electronic equipment (WEEE), i.e. the device has to be recycled after use according
to stipulations by law!
10. Maintenance and care
A water moistened tissue has to be used for cleaning the tester. When opening covers or removing
components, live parts might be uncovered unless they are opened manually (battery compartment).
Connectors might also be under voltage.
The device has to be isolated from any voltage supply source, if the device has to be opened before
adjustments, maintenance, repairs or replacement of parts (also battery).
Capacitors in the device might still be charged, even if the device has been isolated from all voltage
supply sources.
In order to maintain the faultless condition of the device, it is recommended to carry out inspection
and calibration at intervals of 2 years. For more detailed information, please contact DEHN + SÖHNE
(engineering and sales department).
