6. Test procedure
Testing is only allowed if the
“Notes on safe operation”
of the relevant
PHE3...
voltage detector are
observed (see chapter 5, page 8).
6.1 Functuional test
A functional test must be performed before verifying absence of supply voltage.
When pressing the
"TEST" button
for about 3 seconds; see Fig. 6.1), the indicator is switched on and is
checked for proper operation.
When pressing the
"TEST" button
, the red indicator light is flashing and an intermittent acoustic signal
sounds, when releasing the
"TEST" button
, the green indicator light is permanently illuminated. The
PHE3...
voltage detector is operational
for approximately 90 to 120 sec.
If both indicator lights are permanently illuminated and a continuous acoustic signal sounds when releasing the
"TEST" button
, the battery is low. The voltage detector is no longer operational. Insert a new battery (see
Fig. 6.1, Table 6.1 and Fig. 9.3 on page 14). Now repeat the functional test. If the indication signals described
above still do not appear, immediately remove the
PHE3...
voltage detector from service and return it to
DEHN + SÖHNE
for repair.

Note:
The indication of the

voltage
detector is only clear if one of the two
indicator lights is illuminated or the red
indicator light is illuminated and an
intermittent acountec signal sounds.
Voltage states are visually (indicator group I) and acoustically (indicator group III) indicated
