1. Special safety instructions
Only electrically skilled or instructed persons in accordance with EN 50110-1: ... (DIN
VDE 0105-100: ...) are allowed to use the PHE III... voltage detector – life hazard!
Only use the PHE III... voltage detector if fire and explosion protection measures were
taken (see B.2 and B.3 of EN 50110-1: ... (DIN VDE 0105-100: ...)).
The requirements on this voltage detector are based on the reduced values of the
minimum distances in accordance with DIN VDE 0101: ... For this reason, the PHE3...
voltage detector is only suitable to a limited extent for use in factory assembled,
type-tested installations (in accordance with DIN VDE 0670: ...). The user of the voltage
detector or the operator of the switchgear installation must contact the manufacturer
of the factory assembled switchgear installation to find out whether and where the
voltage detector may be used.
Check that the PHE3... voltage detector is in good order and condition before it is
used. If there is damage or any other defect, the PHE III... voltage detector must be
withdrawn from service.
Only use the PHE3... voltage detector under the conditions shown and referred to in
these instructions for use.
If only one of the safety instructions is not strictly followed or disregarded, life and
health of the user and system availability will be threatened.
Tampering with or modification of the PHE3... voltage detector or the installation of
components from other manufacturers or of other types will threaten occupational
safety, is impermissible and will void warranty.
