RS-232 ACK NAK Error Handling

This item specifies the method the scanner will use to handle errors
detected while waiting to receive the ACK character from the host. Errors
include unrecognized host commands and communication errors such as
parity or framing errors.

•

Ignore Errors (recommended setting)

•

Assume ACK (risk of lost label data)

•

Assume NAK (risk of duplicate label)

To select the option for RS-232 ACK NAK Error Handling:

1. Scan the SWITCH barcode.

2. Scan the desired option from the barcodes below. You’ll need to

cover any unused barcodes on this and the facing page to ensure
that the scanner reads only the barcode you intend to scan.

3. Complete the programming sequence by scanning the SWITCH

barcode.
