8. Check the
Calibration Status

If the calibration is current, you can begin measuring colors and generating formulas. If the calibration
has expired, you must calibrate the instrument. This is performed using the Datacolor PAINT program.

Instrument Calibration
You must calibrate the instrument when you connect it to Datacolor PAINT for the first time, and whenever
the Calibration Status is red (expired). You will need the black trap, white tile and green tile to complete the
instrument calibration using Datacolor PAINT.
1. On the Measure Color Sample window, click
Calibrate
.
2. The system will prompt you for the black trap, white tile, and green tile measurements. Follow the
program prompts.
3. Position each sample to fully cover the port, and click
Ready
. The program will prompt you for the
next calibration tile.
