Types of Frames
For area-scan operations only, you can use software to specify the
type of frames to acquire. A frame can be either interlaced or
noninterlaced, as follows:
•
Interlaced frame
−
Consists of two consecutive fields, each
containing Active Line Count lines, where the start of each field
is identified by the falling edge of the vertical sync. These two
fields are acquired to create the complete frame. The even field
contains lines 0, 2, 4, and so on; the odd field contains lines 1, 3, 5,
and so on.
•
Noninterlaced frame
−
Consists of a single field, containing
Active Line Count lines, where the start of the field is identified
by the falling edge of the vertical sync.
