Configuring of an alarm text

The alarm text is configured by sending a text message to the Epi-Care®

free

’s

phone

number. The message must start with the text “sat1”, followed by a short

text, for example a name. The alarm text can contain up to 18 characters,
including letters, numbers and spaces.

Example: sat1 John Smith

The alarm text is shown in the text message, are sent during an alarm, and in
messages about possible service disruptions.
Configuration of the alarm text can be omitted, if a text message is not needed.

Configuring of backup number

If a backup number is configured, the Epi-Care®

free

 will direct alarm calls

to the backup number, if the alarm number does not pick up. Configure the
backup number by sending a text message

with the text “sab1”, followed by

the backup number.

Example: sab1 22334455

Configuration of a backup number can be omitted, if it is not needed.

Checking configuration

There are two ways to check the configured alarm number, alarm text and
backup number. The first approach is to enter

the control unit’s menu “GSM

INFO”.

It is also possible to check the configuration by sending a text message to the Epi-
Care®

free’s

phone number. The message must start with the text “gau1”.

After approximately one minute, the unit will reply with a text message
containing the information stored on the unit.

Deleting the configured information

The stored information is deletable by sending the following text messages to the
control unit’s phone number:
Delete alarm number: san1
Delete alarm text: sat1
Delete backup number: sab1

Old information is automatically deleted, when new information is configured.

An alarm number MUST always be configured.
