Setup of Epi-Care
®
free
The Epi- Care
®
free
control unit must be setup in order for the control unit to send alarm
calls and messages to a caretaker.
The setup process is done by sending text messages from a regular
cell phone to the number of the SIM-card inserted into the Epi-Care®
free
.
An alarm number must be set up. The Epi-Care®
free
will not be able to send alarm
calls to a caretaker, if the alarm number is not set.
It is also possible to set an alarm text, as well as a backup number the alarm
call will be directed to, if the alarm number does not pick up.
Setup of alarm number
The alarm number is set by sending a text message to the number of SIM-card
inserted into the Epi-Care®
free
. The text message must start with
the text “san1”,
followed by the number to which the control unit shall direct alarm calls.
Example: san1 11223344
The alarm number must be between 5 and 14 digits.
Country code is not required and the number can be written with or without
spaces.
After configuration of an alarm number, the system MUST be checked, before
using the Epi-Care®
free
. The inspection is done by putting the Epi-Care®
free
in alarm mode, and making sure the caretaker receives an alarm call. See page
12.
Warning: If an alarm number is not configured, the alarm
number is incorrect or does not exist, an alarm call will not be
sent to the caretaker.
