Note:
New files can be created on the gage, on a computer with DataXL or on a
phone/tablet via DataXL Mobile for gages equipped with Bluetooth
1.
Use the up and down arrow keys to select the
Datalogger Directory
option and
press the
MENU/OK
key

Wait a few moments while the gage populates a list of current files. Then press
F4- Create
to create a new file

The gage will prompt you to enter a file name. Use the
arrow
keys to highlight
the desired letter, then press
MENU/OK
to select. You will see the letter appear
just under where it says file name (where it says ABC_ in the below image)
4.
You will have the option to enter Description, Location and Inspector ID and
Prefix information. These fields are optional. Use the
arrow
keys followed by
menu ok to enter information into these fields, or press
F4 -Next
to skip and move
to the next field
Note:
It is not necessary to enter data into such fields as: Description, Location,
Inspector ID, or Prefix.
5.
The gage will ask for a file type. Use the right arrow followed by MENU/OK to
select the desired file type from the below options
Linear
: file contains rows and columns
CPT (Custom point)
: same as the linear file, but with the ability
to add custom points
2D
: file contains rows and columns, like a grid
2D + CPT (Custom Point)
: same as the 2D file, but with the ability to add
custom points
3D
: file contains rows, coumns and points
