➡
Stick the provided drilling template to the intended camera position (on the later visible side of the ceiling panel).
➡
Transfer the center marking for the installation hole (
Ø 70 mm
) and, if necessary, the three drill hole markings (
Ø 5 mm
) to the ceiling panel.
To transfer the markings from the drilling template to the ceiling panel, use a center punch, an awl or similar.
NOTE:
The three drill hole markings (
Ø 5 mm
) on the drilling template are only relevant if you want to use anchors/dowels.
Depending on the construction material of the ceiling panel, the use of anchors/dowels is not always necessary, as for example in the case of
wooden panels (the use of common chipboard screws is usually sufficient here).
➡
Remove the drilling template from the ceiling panel.
➡
Cut the installation hole with a
diameter of exactly 70 mm
into the ceiling panel using a suitable tool (e.g. a drilling machine with hole saw or a
drywall utility saw).
When using an electrically powered jigsaw or a hand saw, you should first draw a circle line with a
radius of 35 mm
around the center point to
ensure the specified diameter and roundness of the installation hole.
➡
If necessary, drill the holes for anchors/dowels with a
diameter of 5 mm
at the three previously marked locations.
NOTE:
The above-mentioned drill holes (
Ø 5 mm
) are not required if you only use screws and no anchors/dowels to fix the dome housing later on (see
explanations in the first note).
If you no longer have the provided drilling template at hand, you can also find it at www.dallmeier.com on the corresponding product page for the
device. However, make sure to print the downloaded drilling template in its original size (at a 1:1 scale).
