6.2  DAS Networking

Dali’s

tHost™

s and

t43™

s support star, daisy-chain and hybrid type networking. Figure 6-2 shows typical network

topologies supported:

  6 spoke star around

tHost™

  Daisy-chain with

tHost™

  Hybrid star/daisy-chain with

tHost™

Each

tHost™

supports a maximum of 6 optical interfaces. Each optical interface supports data rates of up to

6.144 Gbps (CPRI option 6).
Currently up to six

t43™

s can be connected in a daisy-chain network topology. Hence, one

tHost™

 can serve the

hybrid network of maximum 36

t43™

s.

tHost™

 and

t43™

s in a star network, or

t43™

s in a daisy-chain network, are connected via single Single-Mode

Fiber (SMF) cable using 1310nm and 1550nm lasers/photodiodes inside pluggable SFP optical transceivers.
